40° Urban Art
The Graffiti and Streetart Festival 40 Grad Urban Art, which was first launched in 2013, is entering its second round this year. Thanks to the support of the city of Düsseldorf, it now takes place every 2 years. Unfortunately, it may not be continued (Status 2018)
In addition to many great events such as an art fair, street art tours or children’s and youth workshops on the subject of graffiti and street art, Düsseldorf’s dreary, grey walls have also been transformed into beautiful murals to add colour to the city. Homeowners who are interested in transforming their façade into a work of art can contact the organisers and take part in the festival.
präsentiert haben, das ich an dieser Stelle unbedingt allen empfehlen möchte die sich für das Thema Graffiti interessieren. Das Buch gibt neben Arbeiten aus den Bereichen Graffiti, Mural, Paste-Up, etc. einen authentischen Einblick in eine Kunstszene, von der die meisten Leute nicht viel wissen. Ich persönlich fand die zeitgeschichtlichen Fotodokumente sowie Biografien von Marc und Johannes, deren Geschichte(n) und Statements am spannendsten. Eternal Respect! Ich denke die Welt wäre ein ganzes Stück besser und fröhlicher wenn wir alle ein bisschen mehr MAJO wären… Danke dafür, Jungs!
